What's Involved in Replacing End of Life Controllers?
Step one in replacement of legacy Kantech equipment involves purchasing newer KT-1, KT-2, and KT-400 door controllers.
Existing cabling and door hardware: electronic door strikes, Request-to-Exit (REX) motion sensors, pneumatic push buttons, and magnetic door contacts get re-used.
Existing cards and credentials may be reused. BTI will need to test and verify card compatibility and will suggest alternatives based on RFID security if needed.
